into wistman’s wood
Into Whistman Woods collection of works about about dualism; the ‘me-state’ identity complex and its (dis)association with nature. Alongside the works is a poem written by Ruby inspired by William Blake's poetry and origin allegories. Ruby's paintings being visual representations of key phrases and lines. In turn Blue ceramic works have been inspired by Ruby paintings and her creating magical portals that's transport us to the natural world.
The Exhibition looks at how central myth, folklore and narrative are to the human condition, and our fundamental need to place ourselves in nature, and often seek control (of it).
To celebrate this exhibition we are having a supper club on Summer Solstice where you are invited to wander around the exhibition, sit with the works, and eat the most delicious food with great company, live music and a drink or two.
